The platen press consists of double sided, specially machined alluminium plates with variable six point heating control zones ensures accuracy and evenness of heat (to +/- 1o C) over entire sheet of material eliminating cold spots, drafts, cracking and whitening. The opening of 400mm, allows for correction of any forming errors. A full sheet of Solid Surface material between a range of 3mm to 13mm can be heated and ready for forming between 3 to 6 minutes.
The vacuum table has been designed to allow for forming over large moulds. Vacuum speed and pressure can be regulated by various forming operations. Suitable for all thicknesses of acrylic solid surface, the unique and patented system is designed to provide reliable, low cost and flexible technology for fabricators. Attachments extend its use to include forming of laminates and vinyls.
